sunday morning was dusted in the closest thing to snow at my house...a blanket of sparkly frost


a birthday pocket journal memory, collecting sort of book

using photographs, paper and the good old sewing machine I created little pockets for each month

the idea is to tuck mementos into the pockets and add photographs along the way...

hoping by my friend's next birthday it will be a gift to look back on the previous year

The tv room table has become a flurry of patterned paper scraps, colored thread and sequins...looking forward to working late into the night on new creations while watching a good movie.

sweet + salty

Sunday morning lemon curd, it was very easy to make thanks to this recipe.


I thought it would be perfect on top of and in between blueberry pancakes. It was perfect.


Saturday's clean kale waiting to be crisped in the oven...


A little olive oil and sea salt later and the kale chips were ready.
I think I could honestly eat them every single day!

time stopped

This afternoon I was curled up on the couch with Hermie and Ladybug both sleeping next to me. Not wanting to disturb their slumber and feeling quite comfortable myself I realized a tissue stood tall from the box and obscured my view of the time. It was wonderful. It was wonderful to not know the time and think about how very late it was getting and I still had not done all I wanted to do for the day.

a photo shoot for two, one girl and one boy
one strawberry shortcake cute and one little boy blue sweet
sleeping, wiggling, a little crying, cuddling, a burp and more sleeping

For the short time I was with this new family of four it was quite wonderful to see mom and dad effortlessly caring for the two and one another, as if that is how they had always been...or maybe how it was always meant to be.

something sweet

Today I had lunch with one sister and dinner with the other. The days get busier and busier and all of a sudden it is February. So when we get those pockets of time they are extra special, just like my sisters, extra extra special. ♡

road trip

One is not permitted to take photographs inside the casino at a roulette table, the place where Case and I lost some money.

Turns out our lucky numbers weren't so lucky, ha ha, next time!
