oh yes I did

...on this day of Halloween I got out the holiday bedding.

It felt funny, but I know that tonight when the last trick-or-treater skips away I will snuggle up in layers of green and red and wake up in November.


Introducing a new version of the golden acorns, these are snow-kissed and sparkly like the first frost and available in the shop. (holidays and winter on my mind!!)


Hope your weekend was truly lovely, crisp and cozy. I was barely out of my slippers on Saturday and it could not have been more perfect! Happy Halloween!!

For the next few days Autumn is visiting. Today she brought fog, chilly air, rain soaked streets, fallen leaves, and an all around coziness.  {10.4}

Sometimes you are lucky enough to meet people who literally make the sun shine, like the adorable family I met up with on Sunday. It was a particularly gloomy day but that didn't take away from their natural glow.



From the tips of their stylish shoes to the tops of their sun kissed heads, pure joy. {10.3}

once upon a time...

...there was a beautiful, loving, giggly family with one ticklish baby, a princess daughter who wore golden shoes, and two happy parents.

I had the pleasure of photographing this very special family today. They came with smiles, cuddles, laughter and costumes, yes, very very adorable, indeed.

So while photographing quiet moments and chubby cheeks, leaves were literally falling all around us. A perfectly wonderful photo shoot to start this beautiful season!  {thank you!}

sugar + a wish

This morning Case woke up one year older than he was when he went to bed. But not too old for fruity pebble treats to share at work, a garland with sweet notes (one for each happy year), lots of happy birthday wishes, a polaroid of his birthday self, cards arriving in the mail, his desk decorated in streamers, and later...dinner out, presents and a banana cake with milk chocolate frosting and walnuts
