craving autumn
august1409_1
It may have been the chilly morning air, or the back-to-school commercials, the blog I read yesterday about preparing for the holiday season, or the plaid coat I fell in love with in the magazine I was reading...despite the fact that it is summer, and the sun is clearly warming up outside, I couldn't help myself from enjoying a warm bowl of quinoa with brown sugar and dried cranberries, just a glimpse of the season yet to come.

Yes! I am definitely craving Autumn - I have been knitting, thinking about Christmas and doing a little cold weather cooking. And the weather has even cooled off alittle early here...ah when I say cooled off ...its still about 29/30 degrees everyday at the moment but I can dream!

Looks good!

I always love to look at Fall commercials where the wind is blowing and there's a pretty snuggly sweater, but I'll take summer all year long!

Thanks for posting on my blog thread!

I've never cooked with quinoa, but this looks great! I'm in denial about fall, but you make it look enticing.

Ah, it's just the opposite here - It's been an unseasonably warm, sunny end-of-winter here which has me looking at short sleeve summer tops and skirts already - even though it's still a tad too chilly to wear them just yet!

I love fall. I feel like the season is so much more inspiring! I tend to neglect my art in the summer :-(

That is my kind of breakfast treat no matter how warm or cold it is outside ;)
Looks yummy!

I'm a huge fan of quinoa but never thought about having it for breakfast! It's really good with some corn and some chopped up green onions.

I know what you mean. Summer is great, but the fall...especially the transition :) I love quinoa. My sis made us oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with quinoa and they were absolutely delicious!

It's really chilly here in San Francisco tonight. Your nice warm bowl of quinoa looks great!

AHEM! I've been smelling it too. Except not in the last few days due to an awful heat wave from hell.
