turnips!

...they look as if they've been watercolored in shades of fuchsia, almost too pretty to eat

This was my first time growing turnips. I learned that their leaves get very large and even if you think you thinned them out enough early on you may not have. Some had room to grow very big and round but for
the most part they were tiny and all those big leaves shaded the garden bed too much. Onto beets...

I grew up on a farm and these pictures are making me want to grow turnips again!! Beautiful!! :)
