yarden
yard●en
noun
1 a piece of ground that was originally designated as the yard but then began to sprout after putting not-completey-composted-compost in the yard for laying sod.

We are growing spaghetti squash, which is wonderful since I love to eat that instead of pasta. It is pretty much taking over the yard, the spirally tentacles stretch and grasp onto blades of grass to allow the vine to go further and further out. Case and I are new to gardening, snails gobbled up what we intentionally planted, but we were quite pleased to figure out what was growing successfully in the yard, safe from critters snacking and getting plenty of sunshine and water.

Thank you to Just Something I Made for posting about me here as a "Great Blog," I'm smiling right now as I type this.

Thanks for the link on Etsy!
Love the term. Love the pic. Featured blog, you're one cool chic!
Gardening is so much fun. I love the photos, especially the one with the spiraling vine. So pretty!
I love those photos. My honey thinks our squash are plotting to take over our yard. teehee... We put it in our old compost spot and I am not kidding it is growing over the fences up the side of our shed and down onto a big portion of our lawn. It is insane and yet so pretty with their tendrils and blossoms. xo
Oh I wish I had a yard so I could grow bigger things.
Our balcony is already maxed out with our lettuce boxes and tomato plant. Any more things out there and I will have to water them with a hose from the inside.
Love the blog. so quaint. good luck with the gardening though. =)
Love seeing what pops up if you just leave it all alone.
oooh!
This is amazing!
So so pretty
I love the definition of 'yarden'. Perfect! I have a garden that looks a bit more like a compost mistake gone bad. ha!
