strawberry fields
Mom surprised me this morning with a trip to the Carlsbad Strawberry Fields. The strawberries were luscious, red and sooo fresh...I could've filled ten buckets!! Thank you, Mom, what a sweet surprise, looks I'll be making a strawberry pie.
*added note: Just had a tiny sliver of the pie...might be the best pie I've ever made!!*

wow, I am jealous! It's been too long since we've had nice big fresh strawberries here.

The pleasure was all mine! You are most welcome! We did have fun didn't we?
I just want to reach into my monitor and pick one of the strawberries to eat. They look so yummy. I can hardly wait till the U-Pick strawberry farms here are open. xo

Oh how lovely. I have strawberries on the brain today, too. I'm gonna post a recipe for a strawberry salad later. You may want to try it!
BTW, your photos always make me feel so calm and collected. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Love it! I'm glad it's strawberry season.
Looking at your pictures and those of other bloggers...I wonder why the HECK I still live up North. Why?? Whhhyyyy???
I can't believe you were strawberry picking already!! I'm SO envious! You don't even know...
oh man!!! That is so exciting!!! I want to go to a strawberry field, I'm super jealous.
Beautiful! I love California strawberries. My own province (Ontario) produces them as well, but they are so tiny and not ready until July anyway. California strawberries are so big, plump, juicy and bright red.
We have a strawberry plant in our garden, and the first one ripened today. Now for a handful ...
How fun!! I want to go!
I know I'm bombing a lot of comments all at once and I'm sorry! But that photo of the single strawberry is absolutely stunning. Fantastic work!
