The doves have settled into their old nest in the lemon tree! So happy to have them back.

A place for studying. Kadee starts back at med school after her week off...wish it had been two weeks.

A new shop in Anaheim opened this weekend, some of my cards, prints and garlands will be there.

The eggs have hatched!

I have been peeking and snapping images here and there, feeling a bit like a dove paparazzi...being so careful not to frighten them.

...

Looks like two healthy new squabs...maybe three, the mama sits on them often and it is difficult to distinguish between the feathers, beaks and heads.

...

They are wonderful, beautiful and delicate, they blink their tiny eyes into the sun and sleep snuggled tightly together.

...

Today the hanging basket they are nesting in was swaying softly in the breeze, I think they picked the perfect home.

A little while ago two doves were looking at this planter, but seemed to have moved on.

Then, maybe a week ago, I watered the plant and saw what looked like the beginnings of a nest, some sticks and branches tucked into the center.

...

Yesterday when I watered the hanging plant (they don't need watered often) I was surprised and so was the dove when I sprayed water into her nest and on her...I felt terrible.

There lay a cluster of beautiful dove eggs.

...

Luckily I didn't scare her away completely, I left her alone once she returned...until today when I climbed up on the cedar chest to check on her through the bedroom window, just a quick peek.

I'm going to check everyday so I can see the babies when they hatch!
